What Type of Wicks?

What type of wicks do you suggest using with coconut wax? Is it like soy where wicking up a size or two may be required? I know there are many factors involved in what produces the final candle. But would you say coconut wax compares in cold and hot throw to soy or is it better?

I've noticed it burns more like paraffin, where the wick sizing is easiler to figure out. Like if its a 3" diam, a wick for a 3" diam candle will work. It is pretty creamy, but it adheres to glass easiler than what I've seen so far with soys and paraffins.

Hello Everyone!

I am pretty new to candle making. I have been having some trouble with wicks and the coconut wax. I have the 100% coconut wax with a 4 inch diameter jar. I have tried the htp 1212 wicks and a cd 16 and both are burning right down the center. I made a candle with 2 wicks about an inch apart and it is burning perfectly. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions or comments about the coconut wax. Thanks!

I am going to try a CD20 in a 4" and see if that works as a one wick. I will let you know how it turns out.

How did the CD20 wick work with the coconut wax?

I worked good. I forgot to post it though, I wanted to post a pic of it, but I will have to make another one.
